The bode & brooks Standard
Field-Tested Guarantee
We stand behind our craft. If something isn't right with your gear, we’ll work with you to make it right. Whether that requires a repair, an exchange, or a technical solution, our goal is to ensure you feel confident in the elements. We handle every issue on a case-by-case basis with a focus on fairness, quality, and getting you and your dog back on the trail.
Endurance Grade: Built to Last
Our gear is engineered for more than just a walk around the block. It is designed to handle everyday movement, extreme weather, and high-output adventure without compromise.
-
Reinforced Construction: Every piece is built with intentional stress-points and heavy-duty hardware.
-
All-Weather Performance: From mountain snow to coastal salt, our gear remains flexible and reliable in all conditions.
-
Daily Reliability: We prioritize strength and longevity, ensuring your gear holds up to consistent, long-term wear.
Purpose-Built: Technical Biothane®
We select materials based on real-world performance, not trends. At the core of our system is Biothane®—a high-performance polyester webbing with a durable polymer coating.
-
Waterproof & Odor-Proof: It does not absorb moisture, mud, or bacteria. Unlike nylon or leather, it won’t stink, stain, or get heavy when wet.
-
Zero Upkeep: Biothane stays supple without the cracking, drying, or conditioning required by leather.
-
Technical Hardware: We pair our webbing with PVD Black Matte, aviation-grade aluminum twist-lock carabiners, and solid brass components to ensure every "permanent bond" is corrosion-resistant and trail-ready.
Domestic Craft: Hand-Built in the USA
Every item is designed with intention and assembled by hand in the United States. By focusing on small-batch production rather than mass-manufacturing, we maintain a level of precision that large-scale operations can't match.
-
Attention to Detail: From the first cut to the final rivet press, we oversee every step of the build.
-
Responsible Production: We prioritize quality over volume, ensuring that every piece of gear reflects the rugged standards of the bode & brooks name.
Technical Care & Product Safety
High-performance gear requires mindful ownership. While our materials are selected for extreme durability, the safety of your dog ultimately relies on proper deployment, inspection, and maintenance.
-
Trail-Ready Maintenance: To maintain the integrity and matte finish of your hardware, rinse away trail grit, mud, or salt water with fresh water and mild soap after messy outings. Wipe dry to maintain the technical finish.
-
Pre-Flight Inspection: No dog gear is completely indestructible. Always inspect your gear—including rivets, webbing condition, and carabiner or snap locking mechanisms—before every trip. Discontinue use immediately if any hardware shows signs of damage or wear.
-
Proper Use & Liability Limitation: Our long lines (The Drift Line) are engineered strictly for supervised training, open-space exploration, and scent work. Never use a long lead or leash to tie out or picket a dog unattended; doing so creates unsafe velocity and entanglement hazards. By purchasing and utilizing bode & brooks products, the user acknowledges and agrees that bode & brooks shall not be held liable for any injuries, losses, or damages resulting from the use, misuse, or suitability determination of our gear.
